 Class schedule for winter 2010
Tango classes take place on Sundays and Wednesdays. See the events page for upcoming classes, details of venues etc and for any variations to the normal schedule, holidays etc.
Note that there are several changes this year. In summary
- We have new teachers this year. Marian Krauthaker and Enrique Ringa. See their site for full details.
- Classes will follow a more structured progressive format
- We have new price promotions to encourage attending all classes in a course
- We'll be using the Unitarian church on Princes street instead of Clancy's Bar for Sunday class and milongas.

to let us know your coming. However, feel free to just turn up as well. For winter 2010 we strongly recommend that beginners follow the course 1 classes to ensure they get a good grounding in the basics. Our teachers are of the highest calibre.

You'll find details of the venue, times, prices and course content for the winter 2010, course 1, below.
Starting September we have Marion Krauthaker and Enrique Ringa for regular Wednesday classes. We'll also have Beatriz Cisneros visiting regularly.
Times
Please note that classes will start and end punctually! The studio closes earlier in 2010 so we must keep to the schedule. Please pay and change before the start times listed.
- Beginners: 19:20 to 20:30
- Intermediates: 20:30 to 21:30
- More experienced: 21:30 to 22:30
- Practica: 22:30 to 23:30
Prices
Individual classes are priced at €12 per class or €11 for students, OAPs and unemployed etc. We encourage you to take advantage of the promotion below. This saves you money and helps us run classes more efficiently.
We have a price promotion for these first 7 classes of €60. Any lady bringing a partner will get the course for €55 each!
Format and content
The general format of the wednesday night classes is that classes take place from 19:20 to 22:30. There is normally an hours 'Practica' or practice dance from 22:30 to 23:30. This is a good opportunity to dance, practice new tricks and enjoy some tango music.
- Theme for Beginners Course 1 is "Learn to Dance Tango!!". This is intended for complete Beginners or those who want to go back to basics.
- Theme for Improvers Course 1 is "From crosses and ochos towards a multidirectional dance"
- Theme for Advanced Course 1 is "Keys for improvisation for a creative leading & following"
You are encouraged to enrol for the whole course as you will have maximum benefit from each course by doing this. Each week will lead on from the preceeding one.
