Enrique Ringa

Enrique Ringa

Enrique discovered the world of tango in 1995 as part of his training for the theatre company he worked for. He immediately fell in love with the dance and started taking intensive classes in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires. Within less than a year’s time, his extraordinary commitment led him to be chosen to perform and tour with the regional tango selection of Buenos Aires. At this time, he started his dance career as a part time activity as he continued his training in traditional Tango, Waltz and Milonga as well as contemporary dance, folklore and corporeal expression. Over years, his maestros and inspirators have been Nito and Elba, Gustavo Naveire, Milena Plebs, Fabian Salas, Osvaldo Soto and Chicho Frumboli. He learnt from the old Milongueros of Buenos Aires as well as with Maestros of Tango Nuevo, which gave him a strong base of both traditional and modern tango. In 1999, Enrique became a full-time professional dancer and teacher and soon started taking part to the most important Tango events in Argentina. He has taught and performed in various festivals, shows and festivals in Argentina and Europe and has worked with renowed tango orchestras and singers. Over years he danced with different partners among which Roxanna Umpierr and Juana Sepulveda.
